St. Louis... yet again....

More Pics from Forrest Park

More St. Louis... Again!

We spent the afternoon at Forrest Park. It is bigger than Central Park in NYC. It was so beautiful... but a little cold. We walked the dogs and enjoyed the scenery. Tonight, we ate dinner at this amazing little Italian restaurant in the middle of "The Hill". This is a part of town known for it's Italian population and cuisine. The restaurant was Guido's Pizzeria. None of us got Pizza though. They had some amazing dishes and we are all thoroughly stuffed. See the pics below from the park.

Busch Brewery Tour

We toured the Busch Brewery in St. Louis on Wednesday April 4. It was awesome... and FREE. I never knew beer making was so interesting. It's a pretty long process... around a month. Seems like a lot of trouble. The place was a beautiful. There were tulips blooming everywhere and the tall buildings were all build in the late 1800s and early 1900s, so the architecture was amazing. If you're ever in St. Louis... I highly recommend the tour.

The Beautiful Busch Clyesdales... unfortunately, we could not see their better side. By the way... a big horse = an even bigger... um posterior.

I have never seen as many tall and beautiful buildings. This place was incredible.

This is where they boil and mash the rice and grain to get all of the sugars out. These "Mashers" were about 2 stories tall.

April and Adam among some beautiful tulips.

Cynthia and me among those same beautiful tulips.

More St. Louis...

Sylvie and Olive (her sister) had a great time playing for hours everyday.

Cardinals Game 4-3-2007

The First Base Entrance to the New Busch Stadium. What a great place. We actually sat on the 3rd Base Line in the second deck. Not a bad seat really. We could see everything great. The game was not so good however... we lost 5-1.

Before the game they presented the World Series Championship Trophy and the Championship Rings to the Players.

Cardinals Taking the field.

After a little shopping at the team store, we decided to watch from the 1st base line for the last 2 innings. Pujols is up with the bases loaded... but he strikes out and we go down in defeat to the Mets.

Cynthia and me in our original seats on the 3rd base line. Did I mention it was about 40 degrees at the game, with a nice brisk wind blowing? Well, it was.

St. Louis!

We are currently in St. Louis visiting our friends April & Adam. They just moved here a few weeks ago. We wend to a Cardinals game last night... they lost to the Mets AGAIN. It's hard to believe that the 2006 World Champs are struggling so much with the Mets. Is this not the same team that was the BEST last year? What has happened to my Cards? The good news is that we got replica rings of the teams World Championship Ring. Cynthia and I both got one... and then we ended up sitting next to a Mets fan (who thank God wasn't annoying) and he gave us his. So I have 3 of them. It's actually a pretty cool collectors item. Too bad they weren't the real 14K gold with 8K of diamonds and rubies like the real ones. Then I could ebay em. O Well. I will try to post pics and more about our 4 days in St. Louis as it happens.
